The Dingle Food and Drink Festival

This year Dingle hosts the 4th Dingle Food and Drink Festival from Friday 1st October to Sunday 3rd October together with the 3rd Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards.
The availability of a wide variety of fresh fish, vegetables and meat locally as well as the growth of good quality supermarkets in recent years has contributed to the growing reputation of Dingle as one of Ireland's best 'foodie' locations.
The town has a plethora of restaurants and cafes, many boasting multiple awards and it is rumoured that Dingle is going to be designated one of Ireland's foodie capitals by the Restaurant Associaation of Ireland.
The majority of restaurants in the town as well as other outlets will be participating in the 'Taste Trail" which will include tastings of local produce, cookery demonstrations and workshops a seafood barbecue, farmers markets and much more.
A visit to Dingle onn that weekend is a must for gourmets, budding chefs, foodies and anyone with a taste for great fresh food (not forgetting drink!)
Many places will be booked out for that weekend so dont leave it too late!
