These are some photos taken by an American tourist in 1968. They were colour slides and although the quality is not as good as modern digital photos they have survived well in fairly good condition.
You will no longer see fields of corn stacked like it is in Begley’s Field, or a horse and cart being driven to the creamery in Dingle. That way of life of Dingle in 1968 is long gone.
The one constant which still remains is the landscape, which, apart from the addition of many holiday homes, is as stunning as ever.
